WATERVILLE, Maine – The Central Maine Collegiate Field Hockey Conference announced its final weekly awards of the regular season on Monday and Husson University field hockey senior Leah Pushard earned defensive player of the week.
Pushard put together an all-around great week for the backline of the Eagles during a 1-1 stretch. The veteran defender recorded two defensive saves in a close 2-1 loss to Thomas College on Wednesday, before capping her week off with a defensive save in a 6-0 win over Vermont State University Castleton in Husson's regular season finale.
The Eagles return to action on Sunday in the championship game of the CMCFHC against the winner of #2 Thomas College and #3 University of Maine at Farmington at 12 p.m. at the Winkin Complex.
