Field hockey sweeps CMCFHC weekly awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Husson University field hockey team completed a clean-sweep of the Central Maine Collegiate Field Hockey Conference weekly awards on Monday.

Senior Averi Baker was named player of the week after a two-goal performance over the weekend against Thomas College in a 3-0 win over the Terriers.

Junior Jazmin Johnson garnered defensive player of the week after recording a defensive save in Husson's win over its conference rivals.

Freshman goalkeeper Ella Duchette posted her second-straight defensive player and rookie of the week award following her second-career shutout against the Terriers, recording two saves in the win.

Husson returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts No. 11 Bowdoin College at the Winkin Complex at 7 p.m.
