BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Husson University women's golf team began play at the Polar Bear Shootout on Saturday at the Brunswick Golf Club.
The Eagles currently sit in 13th-place after day one after posting a team score of 362, while Williams College leads the field with a seven-under par, 285, through the first round.
Senior Caitlyn Chabot leads the way for Husson after the first 18 holes with a 10-over par, 83, while classmate Allie Weinert posted a 17-over par, 90, in her opening round.
Freshmen Caroline Chausse and Abigail Theriault were neck-and-neck with each other through the opening round, as they posted scores of 94 and 95 respectively.
Freshman Riley Fyfe finished her opening round with a score of 112 to round out the field for Husson.
The Eagles will conclude play at the invitational tomorrow with first tee-shots set for 9 a.m.
