WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference named its weekly award for men's soccer on Monday and Husson University men's soccer freshman Miguel Diaz Alvarez picked up rookie of the week honors.
Diaz Alvarez was instrumental in Husson's come-from-behind 4-3 NAC victory over the University of Maine at Farmington on Homecoming. The rookie midfielder netted a free kick goal in the first half and converted from the penalty spot in the second half, as the Eagles picked up a crucial conference victory.
Husson returns to the field on Wednesday with a colossal conference matchup at Thomas College, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
