Women’s golf places fourth at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. – The Husson University women's golf team took home its highest finish at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship since 2021, as the Eagles finished in fourth place at the two-day event.

Husson shot a 746 over the two days to finish in fourth, while Bates College ran away with the team title, posting a two-round score of 631.

Senior Caitlyn Chabot posted a 10th-place finish for the weekend with a score of +29 after shooting rounds of 92 and 81.

Senior Allie Weinert recorded a score of +38 over the two days to come in 14th, recording rounds of 95 and 87.

Freshman Abigail Theriault earned a 22nd place finish after she recorded rounds of 96 and 98 to finish at +50 for the tournament.

Freshman Caroline Chausse concluded the scoring players for the Eagles with a score of +53 to finish in 25, with rounds of 93 and 104.

Freshman Riley Fyfe also competed in the event and finished at +81 and 43rd-place thanks to rounds of 113 and 112.

Husson will finish up its fall schedule on Thursday and Friday when it takes part in the first Little East Conference Championship at the Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island.
