BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - Husson University men's golf Junior
Jack King is tied for third as the Eagles finished Saturday's first round of play at Skidmore College's Dr. Tim Brown Invitational hosted at Ballston Spa Country Club.
King shot a 2-under-par 69 on the par-71, 6,310-yard course to put him two strokes off the lead held by Williams College's Phillip Clifton.
As a team, Husson shot a collective 2-under 282, which has the Eagles in first place after 18 holes. The Eagles hold a four shot lead over No. 24 Babson College, which is in second place.

Chris Kauppila are tied for eighth after carding 1-under 70's. Senior
Cade Charron is tied for 20th after shooting two-over 73. Junior
Will Kavanaugh is at 7-over and tied for 73rd through one round.
The highlight of day one for the Eagles was when Kauppila record a hole-in-one on the par-3 hole 9.
The final round is scheduled for Sunday.
