JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – The Husson University women's golf team maintained its sixth-place spot Saturday following day two of the inaugural Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship.
Again playing the par-71, 5505-yard Paradise Point Scarlet course, the Eagles had a collective 373 Saturday morning dropping 11 strokes off yesterday's team card for a two-day total of 757.
Sophomore
Lindsay Cote paced the Eagles on day two of the three-day, 54-hole event with 15-over 86. Cote currently has a two-day total of 165, which puts her in a three-way tie for fifth overall with Averett University's Madison Masoudpour and Bridgewater College's Maddi Neff.
The biggest mover on day two for Husson was freshman
Allie Weinert who moved up three spots to 19th overall after carding an career-low 89 on Saturday morning. Weinert currently has a two-day score of 188.
Freshman
Caitlyn Chabot remained in 21st place after shooting a 93 on day two. She currently has a two-day total of 191. Freshman
Sydney Devine carded a 105 on the day and is currently in 27th place with a 213.
Bridgewater continues to lead with a 651 total. The Eagles are 17 shots clear of second place Averett with Pfeiffer University third at 680. Averett's Caroline Tamburstuen sits atop of the individual leaderboard with a two-day score of 146.
The Eagles return to the links on Sunday for the final day of the 2023 Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship. They are schedule to tie off tomorrow at 9 a.m.
