Box Score CLERMONT, Fla. — Sophomore Teagan Blackie's RBI fielder's choice in the bottom of the six inning was the lone difference in Husson University softball's 1-0 victory over Simmons University on Sunday.

Senior Whitney Bess would reach on a field error giving way to Blackie who reached on a fielder's choice to plate the winning run.
That would be all the run support Smith would need as she recorded the first out in the seventh on a chopper back to the circle, before getting a pop up for the second out and striking out the final batter of the game swimming.
McCabe finished 2-3 in her collegiate debut including a double, while Bess finished 1-2 with a walk.
