Box Score 2 BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University softball team (19-1, 12-0 North Atlantic Conference) scored 16 runs in ten innings while only giving up two hits on the way to a doubleheader sweep of the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers (1-13, 1-11 NAC) on Monday evening at O'Keefe Field. The Eagles won game one, 8-0, and picked up the victory in game two, 8-0.
Game 1: Husson 8, UMaine-Farmington 0 (5 Innings)
The offense started in the first inning when Morgan Coleman hit an infield bloop single up the middle to score Sydney Ames.
After a scoreless second inning, Kenzie Dore took over in the third as she homered for the second-straight game and made it, 3-0 Husson. The Eagles would capitalize on multiple errors in the final two innings to give them the mercy rule victory of 8-0.

Sydney Ames gets her ninth victory of the season after throwing a one hitter while striking out four.
Broghan Gagnon goes to 1-7 on the season after giving up eight runs (three earned) on six hits.

Game 2: Husson 8, UMaine-Farmington 0 (5 Innings)
Scoring broke open in the bottom of the third for Husson as Kenzie Dore drove a single down the left field line to score Whitney Bess. Jen Jones helped her cause with a double to score Dore. Libby Hewes, making her first start of the season, knocked home Jones on her first collegiate hit as she doubled down the left field line. Hewes would score when Erin Bonenfant grounded out to short. A few batter later, Ames hit one a hard shot through the left side to score Madelyn Fowler.
In the fourth inning, the Eagles would hit the eight-run mark with three runs scored. Erin Bonenfant ripped a double up the middle to bring home pinch-runner Jess Pomerleau and Dore. Madelyn Fowler would bring home the last run of the game when she drove one up the middle, scoring Hewes.

Jones improved to 8-0 on the season as she faced 16 batters and struck out 11 of them while giving up one hit.
Maddelyn Souza pitched all four innings and allowing eight runs on 11 hits.
