The Eagles' head coach Gavin Penney commented on the game and the season, "It's a funny ole game. I have said it all along, it is a tough division to get out of. We have had a great season with many many players playing their first year of college soccer. It didn't go the way we wanted today but the future is bright. There are a lot of hurting players right now because it wasn't what they deserved, but we have to learn from it. It's these experiences that will make us stronger, if we use it the right way. It's just hard to take because we have had an incredible season with some strong performances and while I thought we were the better side today, we didn't do enough to score the goals. Credit to UMF, they just kept going. They scored from something out of nothing and defended with their hearts. Good luck to them next weekend."
The Eagles season has come to a close with a 13-3-2 overall record.
