BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's soccer team has announced the commitment of Kabir D'Mello from Mumbai, India.

D'Mello joins the Eagles after competing for La Moraleja CF in the Preferente division. A right back and winger, he competed at the U19 Third Division level in Madrid and also gained experience playing senior semiprofessional football in Madrid. In addition, D'Mello earned trial opportunities with men's professional clubs competing in the fifth and sixth divisions in Spain.

"I decided to attend Husson University because I strongly believe in the coaching staff's philosophy and style of play," said D'Mello. "From my conversations with the coaches, I felt that their vision for the program matched the type of player I am and the environment in which I can perform at my best. Husson provides me with an excellent opportunity to continue developing both as a soccer player and as a student, and I am excited to contribute to the team while continuing to grow on and off the field."

D'Mello also expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his soccer journey.

"I would like to thank my family for their unconditional love, support, and sacrifices throughout my journey," he said. "Their belief in me has given me the confidence to pursue my goals and has helped me reach this important milestone. I would also like to thank my coaches in Madrid, whose guidance, dedication, and high standards pushed me to become the player and person I am today. I am truly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way and helped make this opportunity possible."
