BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's soccer team has announced the commitment of Vittorio Gaiani from Bologna, Italy.

Gaiani joins the Eagles after competing for Mezzolara Calcio Juniores U19 Élite Emilia-Romagna. Capable of playing right back, center back, and left back, he brings valuable versatility to the pitch.

During the 2024-25 season, Gaiani played for an international academy in France and helped ES Canet Rocheville reach the semifinals of the Coupe Côte d'Azur U18 tournament. He was also selected to the Top 11 of the Juniores Élite U19 Emilia-Romagna Group C for Matchdays 17 and 19.

"I chose Husson University because it can give me the opportunity to continue playing football while receiving a strong education and the chance to grow both as a student and as an athlete in a supportive and competitive environment," said Gaiani.

Gaiani also expressed his appreciation to those who have supported him throughout his soccer journey.

"I want to thank my family and my parents for supporting me and helping me to have important chances such as Husson," he said. "I also want to thank my old coaches who helped me develop as a player and my old teammates who are a second family to me. It's thanks to them that I am the player I am today."
