Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Husson University Eagles (0-3) fell to the State University of New York at Morrisville (2-2), 42-15, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference football action at Drake Field.
FOR HUSSON:
- Arthur Brefil carried the ball 19 times for 68 yards.
- David Morrison completed 16-of-29 pass attempts for 183 yards and ran the ball three times for seven yards.
- Tyler Halls caught four passes for 81 yards.
- Keyshaun Robinson recorded four catches for 48 yards and added a three-yard rushing touchdown.
- Zach Connolly recorded a career-high 12 tackles (nine solo and three assists).
- Frank Curran contributed a career-high ten tackles (two solos and eight assists).
FOR SUNY MORRISVILLE:
- Bill Flatow finished 15-of-19 for 214 yards with two touchdowns.
- Kinsey Williams ran for 81 yards and three touchdowns.
- Toure Hall caught six passes for 77 yards.
- Jermaine Cooper had four catches for 57 yards and two scores.
- Jose Garcia recorded 12 tackles (four solos, eight assists, 1.0 for loss) with a pass breakup.
- Phil Benjamin finished the game with nine tackles (two solos, seven assists, 0.5 for loss).
GAME REVIEW:
- After a scoreless first quarter, SUNY Morrisville scored on three consecutive drives in the second stanza to take a 21-0 lead at halftime on one-yard runs by Sterling Fitz-Henley and Kinsey Williams, and a three-yard run by Williams.
- Two touchdown passes from Flatow to Cooper pushed the Mustang lead to 35-0 after three quarters before a three-yard touchdown run by Keyshaun Robinson put the Eagles on the board with 14:46 remaining in the game.
- The Mustangs put the game out of reach on Williams' third rushing touchdown of the game five minutes and 15 seconds later after Robinson crossed the goal line.
- Husson tallied the final points of the game when Santiago Isaza pushed himself into the endzone one-yard out as time expired and Isaza two-point rush attempt was good to make the game 42-15.
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:
This match-up marked the first-ever meeting between the Eagles and the Mustangs in program history.
