MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — D3football.com announced its all-region awards on Wednesday and Husson University senior linebacker Ryan Banister was selected to the third team for Region 1.
Banister earned first team all-conference honors in the Conference of New England at linebacker after his final season in the green and gold. Banister totaled 73 total tackles, ranking ninth in the CNE, including 31 solo stops, which was good for sixth in the league, in addition to a co-league high 10 tackles for loss, including three sacks, which was tied for sixth in the conference. Banister also tallied one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup in his senior season.
Banister becomes the 20th All-Region selection for Husson in program history from D3football, including the ninth selection for the Eagles under head coach Nat Clark.
