BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University football team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, a 10-game slate that features five home contests at the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex and seven Conference of New England matchups.
"We have been preparing for our 2026 season and we are excited to announce our schedule," said head football coach Nat Clark. "We are in the highly competitive Conference of New England and as always it will be an extremely competitive league. Our non-conference opponents will also be a challenge as we open up with last year's MASCAC champion Framingham State at home on September 5th and defending NEWMAC champion Springfield College on September 12th."
The Eagles open the season at home for the first time since 2024 when they welcome Framingham State University on Saturday, Sept. 5. Husson has opened the past two seasons against the Rams with victories, as Framingham State earned the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference championship last season and hosted a first round NCAA playoff game, before falling to LaGrange College.
Husson will remain in Bangor the following weekend to host longtime regional rival Springfield on Sept. 12 before closing out non-conference play with a road trip to Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Sept. 19. Springfield has won the last five New England Men's and Women's Athletic Conference titles, while the Eagles will be looking to avenge a home-opening loss last season to WPI.
Conference play begins on Sept. 26 as the Eagles travel to defending CNE champion Endicott College. Husson returns home the following week for its conference home opener against Western New England University on Oct. 3.
Following a bye week, the Eagles head to New England College on Oct. 17 before returning to Bangor for the sixth annual Lobster Trap Game against the University of New England on Oct. 24.
Husson closes October with a road contest at Curry College on Oct. 31 before hosting Nichols College on Nov. 7 in its final home game of the regular season.
The regular season concludes on Nov. 14 when the Eagles travel to face in-state rival Maine Maritime Academy.
