Box Score 2 Farmington, Maine – The Husson University softball team swept a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader at UMaine-Farmington, 1-0, 7-4, on Tuesday afternoon.
Game One, 8 innings (W, 1-0)
- The Beavers notched two hits on the day after a pitcher's duel in game one. Karen Flaherty went 1-3 while Kayleigh Oberg went 1-2 at the plate.
- Brianna McGrath went eight innings, giving up six hits, no earned runs with six strikeouts.
- Brianna Bires went 3-3 for the Eagles while Chloe Gorey, Madelyn Fowler, and Kylie Cunningham each tallied a hit.
- Fowler had the game winning hit in the top of the 8th inning when she drove in Bri Brochu with a single to centerfield.
- Jen Jones went eight innings, giving up two hits, walking three and striking out 11.
Game Two, 8 innings (W, 7-4)
- Kayleigh Oberg went 2-3 with two runs while Margaret Fogarty went 2-4 with two runs.
- Kailyn Hill went eight innings, giving up six hits, six earned runs with three strikeouts.
- Tamara Aunchman went 2-3 with one run, Brochu had a hit and an RBI, and Kylie Kennedy went 1-4 with three RBI.
- Jen Jones went five innings, giving up two hits and struck out four.
