Bangor, ME – Husson women's lacrosse fell to North Atlantic Conference opponent Thomas College, 10-5 on Wednesday night.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Thomas, but due to field conditions was moved to Husson University's Boucher Field, with Thomas remaining the home team.

The Eagles fall to 1-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, while the Terriers improve to 4-4 overall and 1-0 in the NAC.

Thomas jumped on the board quickly with Katlyn Cash grabbing the first goal of the game; teammate Jennifer Day notched her first goal of the game to tilt the score 2-0 in favor of the Terriers.

Charlotte Gerhardy (Denver, CO) scored back-to-back goals for Husson, to tie it up 2-2.

Thomas would answer with 3 goals in a row to stretch a lead to 5-2. Kim Gambon (Walpole, MA) found Mariah Carrier (Lewiston, ME) to pull Husson within two, but Miranda Tinsman finished off the first half with her unassisted effort to make it 6-3 Thomas.

The Eagles came out fast in the second half, with Gambon finding Caitlyn Stauffer (Brookfield, CT) to make it 6-4 Thomas. Jillian Lambert scored on a free position shot for the Terriers, and Tinsman found the back of the net once again to make it 8-4 heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

Alissa Fallon (Kennebunk, ME) grabbed her first goal of the game with a little over 8 minutes remaining to cut it to a 3-goal deficit, but Day and Lambert would score within 30 seconds of each other to seal the victory at 10-5.

Husson edged the Terriers in ground balls 39-36, but Thomas beat the Eagles in draw controls 9-8 and committed fewer turnovers 27-23.

Kaitlin Dolloff (Richmond, RI) was strong in net stopping 9 shots in the loss, while Allie McCarthy stopped 5 shots in the victory.
