Box Score Bangor, ME – The Husson University women's lacrosse team opened up their 2014 season on Sunday afternoon, falling to non-conference opponent the University of New England.
Caitlyn Stauffer (Brookfield, CT) scored all four of Husson's goals in the loss, inching closer to the 100-point mark in her career with the Eagles.
The Nor'Easters were paced by Hannah Tavella and Gina Newsome who each had multiple goal performances.
First year goalkeeper Kaitlin Dolloff (Richmond, RI) made 12 saves in net for the Eagles. While UNE goalie Lauryn Huck made 5 saves.
The Eagles (0-1) will next travel to Colby College on Wednesday, March 5th for a 7:00 PM game time.
