Bangor, ME – In the seventy-eighth minute of play, the Husson University Eagles gave up the game-winning goal to Rhode Island College for a 1-0 loss.  With the loss, the Eagles fall to 0-2 on the season while the Anchormen improve to 3-2.

Corey Carvalho collected a ball that dropped into Husson's goal box off a Rhode Island set piece.  Carvalho collected the ball in the crowded box and buried it into back of the Husson net for the game's only score. 

Through the first half, Rhode Island outshot the Eagles 6-2. The second half would feature 12 Rhode Island shots to just one Husson shot.  Despite the shots disparity, the game remained scoreless until there were twelve minutes remaining in the game and the Anchormen tallied the 1-0 score.

In goal, Nic Clark recorded 2 saves for Rhode Island while Mason Smith tallied 6 saves on the Husson loss.
