Husson Handles Emerson 29-4

Bangor, ME – Husson University won their fourth straight game with a 29-4 victory over Emerson College.  With the win, the Eagles push their goal differential over the past four games to 100 goals scored and 7 allowed.  The Eagles improve to 8-6 (6-1 conference) while the Lions fall to 3-6.

Husson's Ben Landry (So., Lewiston, ME) led all scorers with 10 goals on the day and put the Eagles on the board 4 minutes into the first half.  Antony Diaz (So., Brunswick, ME) tallied three goals in the first period which would end with a 7-0 Husson advantage.
 

The second period began with a score by Mitch Heaps (Fy., York, PA).  Emerson collected two goals by Dan Gold (So., Randolph, NJ) and Brian Dorrington (Jr., Billerica, MA) and ended the second half trailing Husson by eight goals and a score of 10-2. 

Husson exploded in the third period, tallying fifteen goals, three of which were scored during man-up opportunities.  Landry collected five goals in the third period which ended with an Eagle lead of 25-2.

Emerson managed to score two additional goals in the fourth period off the sticks of Dorrington and Zoe Fisk (Fy., Pittston, ME) but could not touch the considerable Husson lead.  The game ended with a 29-4 Husson victory.

 In goal for the Lions, Braden Campbell (Jr., Northfield, NJ) recorded 27 saves on 56 shots.  Husson's Tyler Quinn (Fy., McLean, VA) recorded 2 saves during 30:01 minutes of play while John Hooper (Fy., Wakefield, RI) tallied 6 saves in 29:59 minutes.
 

Emerson faces Thomas College on April 20.  The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 24, when they travel to Lyndon State College for a North Atlantic Conference contest.
