WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference announced its preseason coaches poll results for men's lacrosse on Tuesday and the Husson University men's lacrosse team was chosen to finish third.
The defending conference champions, Maine Maritime Academy, were picked first in the poll with 47 total points and five out of seven first-place votes, followed by SUNY Delhi, who secured the remaining first-place votes and 44 total points.
Husson earned 30 points in the poll to lock up third-place, while Thomas College was just two points behind the Eagles with 28.
Anna Maria College was picked fifth in its first year in the conference with 22 points, with SUNY Cobleskill ranking sixth with 13 points and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts rounding out the rankings with 12 points.
The Eagles are currently 1-0 on the season with a win over the University of Southern Maine at home and will look to pick up some more wins on their five-game road trip, beginning with a matchup at Albright College on Sunday at 11 a.m.
