Box Score Waterville, ME – Husson University defeated Thomas College
13-5 on Thursday April 15. With the win, the Eagles remain
undefeated in the North Atlantic Conference East Division with a
5-0 record. The Eagles have also clinched the right to host
the North Atlantic Conference East Division quarter and semifinals
on April 24-25.
Husson dominated the first half scoring 12 of their goals. Their
last and final goal came at the very beginning of the second half
and then Thomas went on their scoring spree. Kim Gambon (Walpole,
ME) scored the first two goals of the game within a minute and half
of each other. Gambon ended with three goals and three groundballs
at the end of the time. Also with three goals for Husson was Alex
Huffman (North Hampton, NH) totaling four ground balls.
After a rally late in the second half, Thomas scored five goals,
two by Kiley Jolicoeur (Oakland, ME) and two by Megan Denby
(Copiague, NY) with the fifth goal being scored by Kristalynn Kidd
(Plainfield, CT).
Shelby Bradford (Lee, ME) picked up 15 groundballs in
the game and
Caitlyn Butterfield (Gorham, ME) picked up 11
groundballs. For Thomas, Jolicoeur led the team in ground balls
with 8 followed by Kidd with 7.
The Husson University Eagles play again Saturday, April 17
against Pine Manor at Husson at 12:00pm.
