Bangor, ME - The Husson University Women's
Lacrosse picked up their fourth victory of the season by defeating
Thomas College 25-2. The Eagles outshot the Terriers 50-14.
Husson improves to 4-4 on the season, while Thomas falls to
1-7.
Husson Jami Ladd (Fy. Berlin, VT) scored 45
seconds into the contest to give the Eagles a quick 1-0 lead.
Three minutes later, Shelby Bradford (Jr. Lee, ME)
would score one of her four first half goals. Husson would go
on to score the first six goals of the game before Megan Denby
(So. Copiague, NY) would get the Terriers on the
board with an unassisted goal. However, the Eagles would
score the next eight goals as they took a 14-2 halftime lead.
Husson scored 11 goals in the second half and shutout Thomas.
Husson was led by Bradford's four goals and five assists.
Ladd also led the Eagles with five goals and one assist.
Caitlyn Butterfield (So. Gorham, ME), Caitlin
Ramsey (Jr. Berlin, NH) and Alex Huffman (Jr.
Hampton, NH) all had hat tricks for Husson. Goalie Nikki
Burns (So. S. Berwick, ME) made seven saves on 14
shots.
Thomas was led by Denby and Kristalynn Kidd (So.
Plainfield, CT) who both scored for the Terriers.
Goalie Nicole Foss (So. Addison, ME) made 16 saves
on 50 shots.
