Bangor, ME - The Husson University Women's
Lacrosse team won their third straight game as they evened their
record to 3-3 on the season. The Eagles defeated Elms College
17-2 on Friday afternoon. With the loss the Blazers fall to
0-10. Husson outshot Elms 54-12 and had a 61-25 loose ball
advantage.
Jami Ladd (Fy. Berlin, VT) started the scoring
for the Eagles 40 seconds into the contest as she scored an
unassisted goal. Shelby Bradford (Jr. Lee,
ME) scored 24 seconds after Ladd to give the Eagles a
quick 2-0 lead. Husson would score the next three goals
before Elms Jessica Shea (Jr. South Hadley, MA)
would get the Blazers on the board. Husson would score the
next three goals to take a 10-2 lead into halftime. In the
second half the Eagles would score seven goals and shutout the
Blazers.
The Eagles were led by Bradford who had six goals and one
assist. Ladd, Caitlin Ramsey (Jr. Berlin,
NH), Kaylee Godan (So. Old Orchard Beach,
ME) and Caitlyn Butterfield (So. Gorham,
ME) would score two goals apiece. Goalie Stephanie
Perry (So. Calais, ME) would make eight saves on
12 shots.
The Blazers were led by Shea and Katlyn Harrington (Fy.
East Longmeadow, MA) who both scored for Elms.
Goalie Holly Braziel (Fy. Shelburne Falls, MA)
made 25 saves on 54 shots.
Husson University's next game is tomorrow at 3:00 at the
University of Maine-Farmington.
