WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference unveiled its weekly award winners for men's soccer on Monday and Husson University sophomore Miguel Diaz Alvarez and freshman Santiago Jimenez were honored.
Diaz Alvarez was named player of the week after a three-goal, two-assist week in two games for the Eagles. Diaz Alvarez recorded one goal and one helper in a midweek road loss for Husson at Bates College, before ending the week with a two-goal, one-assist outing for the Eagles in their dominant 5-0 North Atlantic Conference opening victory at Lesley University.
Jimenez captured his second rookie of the week award after one goal and one assist for the Eagles. Jimenez started the week off with a helper at Bates, before ending the week with a goal at Lesley.
Husson is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts the University of New England at 6 p.m.
