WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference unveiled its weekly award for track & field on Tuesday and Husson University women's track & field sophomore Natasha Monreal was named field athlete of the week.
Monreal put together a strong jumping performance at the Black Bear Meet on Saturday, as she recorded one of the day's top performances in the triple jump, winning the event with a personal-best leap of 10.82 meters, a mark that met the DIII New England standard. Additionally, Monreal placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.14 meters, a distance that also met the Division III New England standard.
The Eagles will travel to Standish on Saturday to compete in the Monks Invitational in their next meet.
