SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its team of the week for Division III on Monday and Husson University men's lacrosse junior Owen Giorgio was one of six players selected.
Giorgio was up to the challenge defensively for Husson on Saturday in a tough home loss to Maine Maritime Academy, as the junior midfielder recorded a game-high five caused turnovers, while also scooping up six ground balls for the Eagles, in addition to dishing out two assists for the Husson offense.
The Eagles return to the field on Saturday for the semifinals of the North Atlantic Conference playoffs, as they will battle #3 SUNY Delhi at 4:30 p.m. on the campus of Maine Maritime Academy.
