LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its Division III Team of the Week on Wednesday and Husson University men's lacrosse senior Kiernan Field and junior Owen Giorgio were selected.
Field picked up his fourth player of the week award for the North Atlantic Conference earlier this week after he showcased why he is one of the better players in the league this past week, as he helped lead the Eagles to two NAC wins. Field began his week with a six-goal, four-assist performance in a road win over Thomas, in which he posted the eventual game-winning goal, in addition to adding one caused turnover. To finish his week on senior day, Field recorded three goals and three assists in a dominant win over MCLA, while also recording eight ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Giorgio, who earns his second-straight USILA team of the week honor, put together another strong week of defense for Husson, posting six ground balls and one caused turnover while scoring once in a victory at Thomas, before ending the week with an 11-ground ball, three-caused turnover game in a win over MCLA.
Husson closes its regular season on Saturday with a crucial NAC matchup against Maine Maritime Academy, scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. on Boucher Field.
