WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference tabbed its weekly award winners for baseball on Monday and Husson University baseball sophomore Yates Emerson was named player of the week.
Emerson went 10-15 at the plate for Husson, who split a four-game NAC series with Thomas, while also dropping road matchups to NESCAC foes Bowdoin College and Bates College. Emerson posted three RBIs and four runs scored, while also drawing four walks and finishing 2-2 on stolen bases. Additionally, Emerson rose his batting average from .286 at the start of the week to a NAC-leading .419 by the week's conclusion.
Also for Husson, sophomore Noah Hurd and freshman Liam Kelley were selected to the honor roll for their performances during the week.
The Eagles are back on the field at home on Wednesday when they host Colby College at 5 p.m.
