CASTINE, Maine – The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association released its weekly awards for women's basketball on Tuesday and Husson University women's basketball sophomore Saige Evans claimed tri-player of the week.

Evans earned her third player of the week award following a 3-0 final week of the regular season for Husson, who earned wins over the University of Maine at Fort Kent, Vermont State University Lyndon and Vermont State University Johnson. Evans tallied 20 points, nine rebounds and two steals against UMFK, before recording a 17-point, 13-rebound double-double against Lyndon to go along with five assists. Evans concluded the week against Johnson with an efficient 10-16 shooting performance to finish with 21 points and five rebounds and was also named North Atlantic Conference player of the week.

Husson clinched the second seed in the upcoming NAC tournament and will host the winner of #3 University of Maine at Farmington and #6 Vermont State University Lyndon on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Newman Gymnasium.
