WATERVILLE, Maine – With the women's basketball regular season coming to a close on Saturday, the 2026 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament bracket is officially set with the Husson University women's basketball team earning the number two spot.
Maine Maritime Academy finished the regular season with a 16-2 conference record (17-8 overall) and joining them in the six-team tournament are #2 Husson who registered a 15-3 conference record (17-8 overall). The two will each host a semifinal match on Sunday, February 22.
Husson and UMaine-Farmington are tied with a 15-3 conference record. Husson holds the tiebreaker over Farmington and will be the No. 2 seed, with UMaine-Farmington earning the No. 3 seed.
UMaine-Farmington (15-3 NAC, 18-7 overall) heads into the tournament as the #3 seed and will host #6 Vermont State University Lyndon (9-9 NAC, 14-11 overall) on Thursday, February 19 in a first-round matchup. No. 4 seed Thomas College, who concluded their regular season 12-6 in conference play (16-9 overall), will also host a first-round game on February 19 against #5 SUNY Cobleskill (11-7 NAC, 14-10 overall).
The 2026 NAC Women's Basketball Tournament kicks off Thursday, February 19 with first-round matches. Semifinal matches will be on Sunday, February 22 with the NAC Championship the following weekend on Saturday, February 28 at the highest remaining seed. Game times will be confirmed this Monday.
The winner of the 2026 NAC Championship will secure the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA DIII Women's Basketball Tournament, set to begin on Friday, March 6. The complete NCAA Tournament bracket will be unveiled during a live selection show on NCAA.com on Monday, March 2.
