WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference unveiled its preseason poll results for women's tennis on Wednesday and the Husson University women's tennis team was chosen to finish tied for first in the conference.
Husson was chosen alongside Simmons University, which is an affiliate member of the conference for women's tennis, as both schools totaled 41 points in the vote. Simmons tallied three first-place votes, while the Eagles tallied two.
Lesley University was voted third in the poll with 40 points and the additional two first-place votes, while Thomas College was picked fourth with 30 points.
SUNY Delhi (23 points), Vermont State University Johnson (13 points) and Vermont State University Lyndon (8 points) rounded out the vote with the final three spots.
Husson opens up its season one week from Saturday when it hosts Lesley University at 2 p.m.
