CASCO, Maine – The Husson University men's golf team opened its 2025-26 season on Wednesday with the John Queenan Memorial Invitational at the Point Sebago Golf Course.
Husson placed third as a team with a score of 316, with the University of Southern Maine taking home the team win with a combined score of 308.
Junior Juan Carlos Hernandez was the top individual finisher for Husson with a four-over par, 76, which was good for tied for sixth-place in the event, while fellow third-year Ty Dickson was just two strokes behind, firing a six-over par, 78, which placed him in a tie for tenth-place.
Junior Bradley Chisholm started his campaign off with a seven-over par, 79, to put him in a tie for 14th, while freshman Michael Bruce rounded out the scoring players for the Eagles with an 11-over par, 83, which was good for a 23rd-place finish in his collegiate debut.
Junior Jace Cook also competed in the event for Husson and recorded a 13-over par, 85, which slotted him in a tie for 25th.
Alex Grant of Southern Maine and Will Farschon of Southern Maine Community College tied for the individual win with one-under par, 71s.
Husson returns to the links on Sept. 13 when it hosts the 35th annual Husson Invitational at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.
