BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Husson University men's golf team rebounded from a rough first day at the Bowdoin Invitational to finish the tournament in 10th-place as a team.
Amherst College and Williams College tied for the team title with a 17-over par combined score, as the Eagles finished with a 41-over par as a team, while posting an 11-over on day two to climb back up the leaderboard.
Freshman Michael Bruce was the top individual finisher for Husson with a combined seven-over par for the tournament, as he shot a 77 on day one and a 74 on day two to finish in 21st.
Junior Ty Dickson posted a one-over par, 73, on day two to finish at 10-over par for the tournament with a 34th-place finish.
Juniors Juan Carlos Hernandez and Bradley Chisholm both placed 44th in the event with combined 12-over pars, as both players shot an 80 on the opening day, before shaving four strokes off of their scores on day two.
Junior Jace Cook finished the tournament at 18-over par, while freshman Chase Farnsworth competed as an individual and concluded his two rounds at 15-over par.
The Eagles will be back on the course on Tuesday for the Seawolf Shootout, which will be hosted by Southern Maine Community College at the Val Halla Golf Club.
