WATERVILLE, Maine – The Central Maine Collegiate Field Hockey Conference unveiled its weekly awards on Monday and Husson University field hockey secured three honors.
Senior Maddie Perkins won her second player of the week honor after a two-goal performance on Saturday against the University of Southern Maine, as the Eagles earned a 4-1 victory over the Huskies.
Freshman Addie Twitchell captured rookie of the week after dominating in the midfield in both of Husson's matchups against the University of New England and USM, forcing key turnovers in both games.
Fellow first-year Ella Duchette took home goalie of the week following a brilliant week in the cage. The rookie goalkeeper stopped four out of six shots against UNE, in addition to a 10-save performance against USM.
Husson returns to action tomorrow when it opens CMCFHC play against the University of Maine at Farmington on the road at 4 p.m.
