WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson University men's golf capped a successful weekend at the Waterville Country Club with both an individual and team crown at the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational on Sunday.
The Eagles' depth proved decisive as their combined +26 matched the University of Southern Maine for the top spot in the seven-team field, five shots clear of third-place Colby College (+31).
Junior Jace Cook led the charge, carding a two-over 74 to share medalist honors with Southern Maine's Jaden Poirier.
Junior Juan Carlos Hernandez added a seven-over, 79, to place seventh, while fellow third-year Ty Dickson followed with an 80 to tie for eighth.
Junior Bradley Chisholm and freshman Michael Bruce each posted 81s, finishing in an 11th-place tie.
Husson returns to action Tuesday at the Mariners Invitational, hosted by Maine Maritime Academy at the Augusta Country Club.
