BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's tennis team has added another piece to its 2025 recruiting class, as Elisabeth Kelly will join the Eagles this fall.
Kelly comes to Husson from Mt. Ararat High School and Harpswell, Maine where she played varsity tennis for Mt. Ararat.
Kelly was a first varsity doubles team member and was the third singles player for the Eagles during her career.
"Elisabeth continues to excel, holding a top spot in the doubles lineup and earning the respect of her teammates, who voted her team captain at the beginning of the season," said Mt. Ararat Head Tennis Coach Billy Noble. "Elisabeth's leadership, coachability, positive attitude and consistent performance make her a valuable addition to the Husson Eagles tennis squad. She sets a great example for her peers and embodies what it means to be a team player"
Kelly was nominated for the MVP award during her junior year and off the court she has been both honor roll and high honor roll, in addition to being a member of National Honor Society and Société Honoraire de Français.
"Husson felt right for me as soon as I was able to see the campus and meet the staff on the accepted students tour," said Kelly. "I feel like I will excel at a smaller school where the teachers know me. I've only heard great things from people who have worked with Husson graduates and from the student's themselves. I'm looking forward to being a part of the tennis team!"
While at Husson, Kelly plans to study both forensic science and biology.
