Jordan named to women’s tennis 2026 recruiting class

BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's tennis team has picked up a commitment from Lydia Jordan for its 2026 recruiting class.

Jordan comes to Husson from Brewer, Maine where she attends Brewer High School.

A first team doubles player for the Witches, Jordan made the state championship game in doubles for Brewer as a sophomore.

In her junior season, Jordan won 12 out of 13 matches and made another appearance in the state championship in doubles, while also helping the Witches to the second seed in the MPA tournament.

"In my years of coaching, few athletes have embodied the values of teamwork, perseverance, and integrity as completely as Lydia Jordan," said coach Adams of the Brewers girls tennis program. "She is not only a talented competitor but also a genuine leader and a wonderful person to be around. I have no doubt she will excel in college and make meaningful contributions to your campus community."

Off the court, Jordan has maintained a GPA worthy of high honors and honors throughout the entirety of her high school career.

"I chose Husson university because of the small classes, the great education program they offer, and to continue playing tennis at a higher level while also getting a degree in my dream career," said Jordan.

While at Husson, Jordan plans to study elementary education.
