JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – The Husson University men's golf team is still trying to polish off some winter rust and grinded out round two at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate, which was played on the Paradise Point Golf Course.
The Eagles currently stand in 20th-place with a team score of +32 (608), while Sandhills Community College leads the field with a three-over, 579 as a unit.
Graduate students Jack King and Chris Kauppila fought the wind all day and still managed to each shoot a respectable three-over par, 75.
Sophomore Jace Cook battled his round and ended with a seven-over, 79, while graduate students Will Kavanaugh and Max Woodman ended the round with 11-over, 83s. The team currently stands in 20th place and they tee off the final round at 8:30 am tomorrow.
Husson will tee off the final round at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.
