WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference unveiled its final weekly awards of the season for women's tennis and Husson University women's tennis freshmen
Katelyn Cotter and
Sadie May picked up honors.
Cotter was selected as rookie of the week for a fourth-consecutive week after she concluded her first regular season with a combined 3-1 week in singles and doubles in matches against the University of New England and Thomas College. Cotter combined with May for a 6-3 win in doubles against UNE on Friday, before winning 6-2, 6-3 in singles and 7-6 (7-5) in doubles against Thomas on Saturday.
Cotter and May earned doubles team of the week after they finished the last week of the regular season with a 2-0 record in doubles play, as the duo recorded wins over the University of New England and Thomas College. Cotter and May posted a 6-3 win over UNE on Friday, before earning a tiebreak victory on Saturday over Thomas by a score of 7-5.
The Eagles return to the court on Saturday when they compete in the semifinals of the NAC tournament against Thomas College at 2 p.m. at Apex Racket and Fitness in Portland.
