Men’s basketball announces 2025-26 schedule

| By:

BANGOR, Maine — Husson University men's basketball head coach Warren Caruso has announced the team's 2025-26 schedule, highlighted by 12 home contests at William P. Newman Gymnasium, a strong non-conference slate, and a trip to Virginia for the Roanoke College Tournament in late December.

"Our non-conference schedule looks a little different this year with 18 conference games and only 7 non-conference opponents," said Caruso. "We look forward to the challenge of our non-conference schedule. We travel to Roanoke College over winter break where three teams in the tournament made the NCAAs last year.  We open with the host Roanoke, who advanced to the Sweet 16. Opening the season with three straight home games is a great way to get the season started."

The Eagles open the season on Monday, Nov. 10, when they welcome the University of Maine at Fort Kent to Bangor for the 2025-26 season opener. Husson will remain home for two more matchups — the 8th Annual Alumni Cup against Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Nov. 15, and a midweek clash with Bates College on Nov. 18.

North Atlantic Conference play begins on the road for the two-time defending NAC champions, as the Eagles travel to Thomas College on Nov. 21 before heading south to face Lesley University the next day. Husson's NAC home opener is set for Dec. 6 against UMaine-Presque Isle, followed by a non-conference test at Bowdoin College on Dec. 11 and a league tilt at UMaine-Farmington on Dec. 13 to close out the first semester.

Over the holiday break, Husson will head to Salem, Virginia, to compete in the Roanoke College Tournament on Dec. 29–30, facing the host Maroons in the opener before meeting either Wilkes University or Gettysburg College on day two.

The Eagles return home in January for a stretch of six games at Newman Gym, including NAC matchups with SUNY Delhi (Jan. 5), SUNY Cobleskill (Jan. 6), Thomas College (Jan. 16), Lesley University (Jan. 17), UMaine-Farmington (Jan. 23), and Maine Maritime Academy (Jan. 24).

The second half of the NAC schedule includes road trips to Vermont State University Johnson (Jan. 10), Vermont State University Lyndon (Jan. 11), UMaine-Presque Isle (Jan. 31), SUNY Cobleskill (Feb. 6), SUNY Delhi (Feb. 7), and Maine Maritime Academy (Feb. 10).

Husson will close out the regular season at home with a back-to-back weekend against Vermont State University Lyndon (Feb. 13) and Vermont State University Johnson (Feb. 14), both at Newman Gymnasium.

The 2025-26 North Atlantic Conference Tournament is set to begin the following week, with times and locations to be announced.
