BREWSTER, Mass. – The Husson University men's golf team concluded its fall season this weekend with the two-day New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship at the Captains Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
Husson finished the 36-hole event in 14th-place as a team, totaling a 633, while the University of Hartford won the event with a team score of 598 to defeat Western New England University by two strokes.
Junior Ty Dickson led the charge individually for the Eagles with a score of 10-over par for the event, as he shot a 73 on day one and an 81 on Sunday to come in 26th-place.
Junior Juan Carlos Hernandez finished one shot behind his classmate with an 11-over par to finish in 31st, as the junior recorded scores of 78 and 77 over the two days.
Junior Bradley Chisholm rose 35 spots on the leaderboard on day two to finish in 55th, after ending the event with a 16-over par courtesy of scores of 86 and 74 in his two rounds.
Junior Jace Cook rounded out the scoring players for Husson with a score of +24 for the weekend, after firing rounds of 87 and 81 to come in 89th.
Freshman Michael Bruce also competed in the tournament for the Eagles and ended his first semester as an Eagle with a score of +25 after shooting an 83 in round one and an 86 in round two.
Husson will return to the course in April when it takes part in the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship in Jacksonville, South Carolina.
