WATERVILLE, Maine — The Husson University men's golf team dominated the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational on Saturday hosted at Waterville Country Club.
The Eagles shot a three-over par 283 as a team and claimed the first four spots in the individual standings.
Graduate students
Will Kavanaugh and
Chris Kauppila earned medalist honors carding even-par 70's — Kavanaugh earned his second win in the last two weeks.
Fellow graduate students
Jack King and
Max Woodman finished third and fourth, respectively with rounds of one-over par and two-over par.
Sophomore
Bradley Chisholm concluded Husson's showing win a 15-over par 85.
Overall, the Eagles walked away with the tournament beating second place Maine Maritime Academy and Colby College by 39 strokes, while host UMF posted a 327 and Thomas College tallied a 337.
With the win, Husson has now won the UMF invitational in back-to-back seasons and three out of the last four years.
Husson returns to Waterville Country Club on Sunday for the Thomas College Invitational looking to make it three-straight wins to open the season and four straight Thomas College Invitationals.
