The playoffs have come to a close for Husson's esports teams, with many strong finishes for the teams that were remaining. Here's a recap of all of Husson's playoff action.

SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE

Husson's Smash Green team lost 2-1 versus New York Tech in the round of 16, eliminating them from the playoffs. Despite the loss, Rin Gately and team captain Garrett Munson put together strong performances, with the team losing by just one stock in game three.

NBA 2K24

In the round of 16, Jerry Grissom won 2-0 versus Sierra Heights University, winning 79-77 in double overtime in game one and winning 70-67 in game two. Grissom staved off two comeback attempts by SHU in the final minutes of both games, taking the match over the third seed in the bracket.

In his quarterfinal match, Grissom went up against University of Central Missouri, where he lost 2-0. He finished in the top eight of the playoffs.

ROCKET LEAGUE

In the quarterfinal round, Husson Rocket League Green lost to Huntingdon College 4-3 in a very close series. After going down 2-1 in the series, Husson would manage to tie the series 3-3 before losing in game seven. They finished in the top eight of their playoff bracket.

OVERWATCH 2

Overwatch 2 Gold won their bracket to win Husson's first ECAC championship for esports, defeating Elmira College 4-2 in the final round. In the championship-clinching game six, OW2 Gold pulled off a massive comeback to win the game and earn Husson Esports their first championship in any game.

FORTNITE

Ashton Dennett and Brayden Barbeau finished 15th overall out of 40 teams in the final playoff matches for Fortnite Duos, finishing in the top half of the competition.
