SOUTH KENT, Conn. – The Husson University men's golf team concluded its 2024 fall schedule on Monday with a team victory at the Battle at Bull's Bridge in South Kent, Connecticut, which was hosted by the University of Hartford at the Bulls Bridge Golf Course.
Graduate student Chris Kauppila earned medalist honors at the tournament by shooting a two-under, 70, and was the only golfer in the field to shoot under-par.
Graduate student Max Woodman finished in a two-way tie for third-place following his two-over, 74, while fellow graduate student Jack King wasn't far behind with a three-over, 75, in the tournament, which was good for a tie for fifth.
Graduate student Will Kavanaugh rounded-out Husson's scoring players with a four-over, 76, on the day, placing him in a tie for seventh, while sophomore Jace Cook also competed in the event and shot a 13-over, 85, which earned him a tie for 19th.
The Eagles fired a seven-over, 295, as a team, which was three strokes better than Division I representative, Merrimack, to capture the team championship.
Husson will return to the links in the spring, as it will build towards the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship.
