BREWSTER, Mass. — Graduate Student
Jack King shot a one-under par 71 in the opening round of the New England Intercollegiate Championship on Saturday pacing the Eagles to an opening round 302 as a team.
The Eagles currently sit tied for fourth overall with Roger Williams University, trailing Bates College and the University of Hartford by one stroke for second place.
Endicott College leads the field following an even-par opening round.
King trails Brady Burke by three strokes for medalist honors following the opening 18 holes.
Sophomore
Jace Cook finished second on the team with a four-over par 76 to finish 20 top, while graduate student
Max Woodman and
Will Kavanaugh posted rounds of five and six over par.
Additionally, graduate student
Chris Kauppila finished with a nine-over par 81.
Husson returns to the course on Sunday looking to defend its NEIGA title for the final 18 holes at The Captains Golf Course.
