CHICOPEE, Mass. — The Husson University men's golf team won its fourth-straight North Atlantic Conference Championship on Monday, 18th total conference title following a two-round total of 28-over par 596.
Graduate student
Jack King shot an even-par 71 to finish as co-medalist with SUNY Delhi's Grady Glennon. King's two-round total of 147 gave the graduate student his second medalist honor in the last three years. King becomes just the fourth golfer in program history to win medalist honors in a conference championship in program history.
Fellow graduate student
Max Woodman finished third overall with a six-over par 148, followed by graduate student
Will Kavanaugh who posted a two-day total of eight-over par 150 for fourth place and graduate student
Chris Kauppila finished sixth with a nine-over par 151.
Sophomore
Jace Cook climbed eight spots on the final day to finish 13th with a 21-over par 163.
King, Woodman, Kavanaugh and Kauppila all finished with first-team honors helping Husson beat Delhi by 12 strokes for the conference title.
Delhi finished second followed by Maine Maritime Academy in third, SUNY Cobleskill in fourth and the University of Maine at Farmington in fifth.
Husson will now look to make it back-to-back New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships when the Eagles compete in the two-day event on Saturday and Sunday at The Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
