Box Score SWANNANOA, N.C. — Sophomore Danny Carter and senior Jaden Wells each finished with five goals and three assists apiece as Husson University men's lacrosse team rolled past Warren Wilson College for its first win of the 2022 season.
Husson (1-3) four itself down 2-0 early in the first quarter, but a 5-0 run saw the Eagles with a 5-2 advantage after the opening quarter.
The Eagles continued their momentum into the second quarter rolling off an 8-1 run before halftime to take a controlling 13-3 advantage.
The second half would be all Husson as well as they outscored the Owls 7-1 over the final 30 minutes to pick up the 20-4 decision.
Senior Jacob Larochelle helped the Eagles momentum winning 19 faceoffs on the day, while fellow senior Bryan Wagg allowed just four goals and registered nine saves.
Additionally, senior Gunner McAllister finished with a hat trick adding two assists, while junior Matthew Boyton finished tied with a game-high five goals.
Junior Griffin Madore tallied two goals and assist while Darryn Bailey and Roman Dennis each added an assist.
Husson returns to the field on Tuesday when it tangles with Greensboro College at 7 p.m.
