Box Score BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's soccer scored the most goals in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match since 2017 after putting a dozen past the Badgers of Northern Vermont University-Johnson on Sunday afternoon at Boucher Field.
The Eagles remain at the top of the table in the conference with a 7-0 conference record and 8-3-2 overall while the Badgers are 0-7 and 1-9 overall.
Seven minutes into the match the Eagles already had two goals as Charlotte Messer scored her seventh goal of the season followed by a Badgers' own goal. Kate Harriman scored in her third straight game in the 22nd minute before the Natalie Aviolla show took over.
The first-year forward from Florida scored a hat trick in 17 minutes as she now has a conference-leading 11 goals on the season. Edie Shea also added her second goal of the season in the first half as the Eagles led by seven at the break.
Sophia Mullins has five assists on the season but today the playmaker scored her first collegiate goal in the 54th minute. It was followed up by goals from Katie Raymond and Sydney Drew in less than a minute span.
Drew would add another goal for a brace then Sami Orest scored her first collegiate goal off as she curled one home on a corner kick.
Shie Smith earned the victory in net with 45 minutes of no action followed by Chloe Baker making a save as the Eagles' defense allowed a total of one shot from NVU-Johnson.
The homestand continues on Wednesday when former NAC-rival New England College visits Boucher Field for the first time since 2017. Kickoff is set for Wednesday, October 13th at 4 p.m.
