LAKE SUZY, Fla. – The Husson men's golf team opened up their spring season under the hot sun in Florida at the Kingsway Country Club as the Eagles faced Illinois College with match play scoring and took home the win with five Eagles coming out on top. Seven student-athletes competed for each team on Saturday.
Posting the most impressive score of the day was Daulton Wickenden for Husson, defeating Louis Faivre, three and two. Eric Dugas outshot Riley Nelson, two and one. The other three Eagles who helped earn the victory were Gavin Dugas with a score of two up to take down Cameron Nickerson, Mackenzie Clow finished one up over Ryan Kauffman and Taylor Morang outdueled Ethan Beck two up.
The two Blueboys who finished ahead of the Eagles were Bryce Oden cruising to a score of four and three on Riley Swanson and Alex Anderson finished one up on Nick Mazurek.
Husson men's golf will have a couple weeks off for all the snow to melt before traveling down to North Carolina for the 48th Annual Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Golf Championship from April 5-7.
